Firstly and most importantly I am mother of three beautiful children.  Our little girl is called Rose Isabella hence the web site name.  They are my blessings in this life and often a serious spiritual challenge!! Om shanti x.

I started practising yoga when I was 20 and am 40 this year.  My personal practise started in Iyengar yoga and then focused on Astanga with ante and post natal breaks along the way. I originally trained with ITEC (1994) as a massage therapist and after completing my degree I studied both Northern and Southern style traditional Thai massage. I have studied with a number of well known astanga teachers and have a regular personal practise.

I taught yoga in London for 10 years and at times taught up to 18 classes a week. I have worked for local authorities, in special needs schools, in health clubs, with private clients and for Sure Start. I have qualifications with Birthlight, Yoga Bugs and the Radiant child teacher training and have a City & Guilds 7303 Adult Education Teacher Training. I also worked as a teacher trainer for Yoga Bugs.

I am a level 3 senior yoga teacher member of the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia (YTAA) and have current professional insurance and first aid certificate.

I read Frederick Leboyer’s inspiring book, ‘Birth Without Violence’ when I was a child.  I found it amongst my fathers fascinating collection of books .Since 1997 and the birth of my oldest son (a wonderful and empowering experience) I have felt passionate about the need for women to reclaim birth. In 2005 I "trained" as a Doula with Michel Odent, the French obstetrician who pioneered water births.

The pregnancy and post natal classes that I ran in London were part of the government funded Sure Start programme and free to the participants.  I worked closely with the local midwives and health visitors.  During the years that I worked there I had a very positive response from both the medical team and the participants.  Many women came back to tell their birth stories and to pass on the confidence that they had gained.

Now living in this beautiful land 'down under' and teaching here on the Central Coast, just north of Sydney.  Have met some wonderful people and made important connections ... and slowly the web begins to weave and take shape. Great plans and visions in my mind so watch this space and see what unfolds.  Every journey starts with one small step....
