Bellarose Kids Yoga

Kids Yoga is creative, spontaneous, and great fun!

Through story telling and playing games, Kids Yoga stimulates the imagination, develops motor skills, and improves balance and concentration. To begin our yoga class, we warm up the body with a variety of different exercises like ‘butterflies’ and ‘riding camels’. Playing favourite games like ‘grandmas trees’, ‘crocodiles’ and ‘bowling’ incorporate different postures in a fun and captivating way. The practise ends with our ‘sleepy snake’ and chanting calming Oms.

A Yoga class gives children an opportunity to express themselves in a non competitive environment. Yoga counterbalances the negative effects of modern lifestyles such as loss of flexibility or creativity, and helps children learn to cope with the stresses and strains of everyday life, gaining skills to carry with them into adulthood.
